Last weekend the Columbia Union Conference hosted the Rise Up Young Adult Summit where leaders encouraged young adults to be leaders in the church today and now.
At its March meeting, the Columbia Union Conference Executive Committee voted to move the REACH Columbia Union Evangelism School—currently based in Philadelphia—to Washington Adventist University (WAU) in Takoma Park, Md.
During the recent young adult summit—the first of its kind in the union—held March 31–April 2 at the Crystal City Hilton in Arlington, Va., more than 300 participants from the Columbia Union, discussed ways to bridge communication and generation gaps between young adults and older church leadership.
In recent months, newly proposed United States immigration policies have caused a wave of fear among many Seventh-day Adventist church members and their families across the Columbia Union Conference, making some too afraid to attend church. But some churches are working to help ease the fears.

We are deeply saddened to share that Goldie Louis passed away last evening from complications following a stroke she suffered on February 21.
