There’s an active Spanish-speaking youth group in the Potomac Conference called Movimiento Joven Adventista (MJA). Just before Thanksgiving, they showered love and care upon needy families in Takoma Park, Md.
“I was the first one here at 8:30,” said Tammy Kirkwood. “I’ve been coming here for two years now, and I have the best time. I wait for this day.”
The Columbia Union Conference was well represented at the Division Level Pathfinder Bible Achievement in Berrien Springs, Mich. Ohio Conference’s Delaware Discoverers and Pennsylvania Conference’s Reading Hampden Hawks went up against 24 other Pathfinder clubs from across the North American Division.
Six qualifying Pathfinder clubs from the Columbia Union recently competed at the Division Level Pathfinder Bible Achievement held in Berrien Springs, Mich.
Through the combined efforts of the Faithful Flock of Calvary church in Jessup, Md., and the Miracle Temple church Eagles Pathfinder Club in Baltimore, 65 inmate families in the Baltimore metropolitan area were recently blessed with a full course Thanksgiving meal.
Just before school started last month, 1,200 members from across the Columbia Union made their way to Front Royal, Va., for the first unionwide Pathfinder camporee in five years.
