Over the last 25 years, many underserved families in the Dayton area have come to know the Good Neighbor House (GNH). GNH, Seventh-day Adventist urban ministry, provides food pantry services, clothing, household items, and medical and dental services.

On Sunday morning, September 11, 2011, the Spring Valley Academy High School Band from Centerville, Ohio, under the direction of Donald Huff, joined the Kettering Praise Orchestra and Oakwood Brass for a 9/11 anniversary concert at 10 a.m. at the Kettering church in Dayton, Ohio.
Ohio Conference’s Spring Valley Academy (SVA) located in Centerville, a suburb of Dayton, has received significant damage from a fire that appears to have originated in the school’s mechanical room, which doubles as the office of Steve Erickson, maintenance director. No one was injured.
